Join us as we strive to make a true difference with life-centric design. The Colour and Material Design team consists of Program Designers and Specialist Designers. Program Designers work with concept and production programs from the early strategic phase where we examine different customer demands and cultural and societal trends to the advanced stage where we define the personality of the car. Our Specialist Designers support all programs and are experts in different design areas, for example, exterior expressions and colour; deco’s, patterns and grains; textiles and upholsteries as well as accessories. We are looking for Colour and Material design student interns to join our team, as we evolve our vision of Scandinavian design toward a sustainable and circular future. What are internships at Volvo Cars Design? Our internship program is evolving. With this Autumn 2023 intake, you will have the opportunity to join a 4-to-6-month internship program focused on your development. Whether professional, personal or technical, we aim to tailor an experience that will give you a wholistic perspective of Volvo Cars while deep diving into your chosen design discipline. Are you our next intern? - To qualify, you must be enrolled as a student at the time of your internship, and it should be requested as an educational component of your studies (university, vocation, school, etc.). - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a passion for creating a better future through design - We are less concerned with perfect than we are with o Your curiosity and desire to learn and grow o Your problem-solving skills o Your ability to communicate your way of thinking o Your creative and analytical skillset - Our corporate working language is English; therefore you should be able to communicate (verbally and written) in English. - A plus are skills related to various design software tools (please highlight this clearly in your CV)
