We are looking for a Textile R&D Specialist to join our Team, located in Appiano Gentile close to Como. The Textile R&D Specialist will be in charge of the development of assigned projects composing part of Textile Collection, in line with specifications received, defined strategies and planned timelines. More specifically, the main job duties are: • Research of materials and suppliers; • Follow the development of the product and its industrialization up to the definitive prototype in agreement with and following the guidelines of creative direction; • Collaborate with the Creative Director for the expressive, stylistic, and technical refinement of the product; • Make graphic and chromatic proposals coherently with the artistic guidelines and with the techniques used; • Guarantee the functional conformity of the product in collaboration with the product and quality offices; • Transfer the qualitative evaluation criteria of the product to the quality department; • Adapt graphics already existing, develop directly or through the collaboration with external illustrators all graphics for the textile collection.
• Superior textile studies (ENSCI – Les Ateliers, École Duperré Paris, Les Arts Décoratifs, La Cambre or similar). • Knowledge and mastery of weaving and printing techniques. • At least 7 years of work experience in a similar role. • Fluent Italian, English required, French welcome. • Knowledge of Adobe suite. • Researcher, explorer, curious. • Oriented to innovation and creativity. • Autonomous and collaborative in carrying out projects. • Knows how to speak on an artistic, technical and qualitative level. • Taste, sense of beauty and sensitivity to details. • Listens to the technical needs but is rigorous in pursuing the expressive purposes of the product. • Organized, persevering, patient and goal-oriented.
